Air Products expands in Cleveland with new ASU
US industrial gas major Air Products has commissioned a new air separation unit (ASU) in Cleveland, Ohio.
The plant will supply oxygen, nitrogen, and argon under a long-term contract to an on-site customer, with additional products sold to the regional merchant market.

In parallel, Air Products is also reinvesting at the same location to extend the life of an existing air separation unit and liquefaction plant.
Francesco Maione, President of the Americas at Air Products, said the facility would deliver capacity into an important merchant market.
“Our Cleveland operations serve a very diverse customer base in the regional area. The location is a good example of Air Products’ strength of production and supply from our base industrial gas business.”
Air Products has been operating in Cleveland since the 1960s.
gasworld Intelligence ranks Air Products as the second-largest industrial gas company in the Great Lakes region, where the market is projected to generate around $3.99bn in revenue in 2024.
